Airline Transport Pilot Course

The Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) is generally regarded internationally as the highest level of certification within the aviation training marketplace.

Sometimes referred to as the PhD of aviation, it marks the attainment of the highest level of training established and the most stringent testing standards for holders of such certification. The ATPL requires a minimum of 1500 hours of flight experience and is usually accomplished by working in the industry until this experience is attained. Quite often, pilots who are already commercially rated pilots, will complete the Flight Instructor course which qualifies them to teach people to fly while building flight experience towards the ATPL certificate.

NOTE: The license gained in this program, allows the holder to act as pilot-in-command of a scheduled air carrier's aircraft.
